Overview

Working for Birmingham Children’s Trust, BSN transformed an existing residential property into a transition base for young people.

The refurbishment provided a secure unit for young people to live in a relaxing environment for short periods.

Project Status

Completed

Converting a dilapidated residential property, through SixPC Building Consultancy in Worcester, we totally ‘gutted’ the building and took back to brick walls. Then we refurbished the building to provide communal kitchen and ground floor living area, separate secure bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. External hard landscaping and improved rear gardens were also undertaken.

As a safe house for young people who have been forced to be rehomed, security of the building was a high priority. Throughout the construction phase, we worked closely with the end user and client security team to ensure services and physical installations were in place before occupation.
